I agree, I know people got a huge attachment to the skits but I think the new Faces feels more like one of his albums then it does a mixtape. OG Faces was perfect for Datpiff in 2014 but the one now I think works great on streaming.

it's like people forgot we've had it since 2014. Nothing has changed, other than now you can share it with your friends (and i doubt if they heard both versions they'd be begging for the samples to come back). The music can hold its own. Wedding is a bummer, but the song is already incredible

Look around at other posthumous releases. Ain’t none of em being done with this level of care & fan service. Complaining about some skits is cringe as hell especially when you use it to bash the people who went out of their way to make a tape littered with samples top to bottom more accessible

Macs family and his estate have done an impeccable job preserving his legacy. They've handled Circles and Faces so well that i feel like if they chose to release a compilation album of leaks and other unreleased songs, I'd trust them 100%. I'm usually pretty against posthumous releases but his family is just as much of a treasure as Mac was. His work is in great hands.

Exactly. They did damn near the impossible and preserved the tape as much as humanly possible for streaming. The fact they even got the tape on streaming and the majority of it is untouched is a f***ing miracle.
