So btflthis is a hard question cus there’s so many but Tomorrow Will Never Know holds a special place in my heart. Mac going full psychedelia for over 10 minutes, those verses, his singing and the whole feel of the song is incredible. Really beautiful song that I can’t believe we got tbh

The samples aren't really THAT hard to track down or out there where they couldn't find the original artists and I doubt a lot of them would decline clearance. Interviews samples aren't impossible. The movie samples might be a bigger issue but still not impossible. I feel like Mac's estate would keep mac's music in the same state he left it in and would do there best to get everything cleared.
Not to mention we’d actually get the music in higher quality bitrate too lmao. I remember in 2014 everyone was waiting for a higher quality release that never came
I guess the Lofi-ish vibe is part of the charm of Faces now

i feel you theres for sure songs Cable Box could have replaced quality wise but concept and structure wise in the album the only song I could see it replacing is rush hour

I remember a TDF era interview where he said he didn't record too many songs for the album but focused on the ones he had. by mac standards thats probably at least an album worth of finished songs.
