Another reason why Kendrick is up there is because of how he covers everything and achieved everything from writing to freestyles to cyphers to battling. Come on man.

Earl is not on Mach, Roc Marciano, Ka or Kendrick's level at all. You can't drop 4 projects and be considered the best.

Who’s really on Roc’s level though. I wouldn’t even put Mach there yet.

He blazed a trail by himself and still puts out high quality stuff. We coming up on 10 years of Marcberg and he’s still in top form.

Overall I think Roc and K Dot are much alike: they put their people on, made some good money, styles are immediately recognized, some classic albums, bars after bars after bars, all the OGs know them, etc.

Business-wise, the only difference between Kendrick and Roc is one decided to stay Independent.

Craft-wise, I've never heard Roc spit a freestyle or cypher.

I forget where but I read that Thug’s prayer 2 was freestyled

But you’re absolutely right. I think Roc could benefit big time signing to a major now.

I know entrapment when I see it

One of my favorites out but think he still needs time to create a discog and make noise

I have this weird hunch Droog’s gonna do a 180 mid-career and become more positive, dunno why, maybe Mach influence

    Man really said
"People dont like me cause I dont dress androgynous enough/ I nut in your grandma mouth, now thats genderfluid/ YOD the best to ever do it"

Man Lupe is like Nas. If he dropped that terrible commercial production he usually raps over and went on some raw beats he could be so much more

Facts. Most influential figure in underground rap this decade

“The two Ds for Double Dose
2s and Ds on the Dan and Dean bubble coat
Tools’ll squeeze if you want smoke
We could mix it up and make gumbo
The snub nose Muggsy Bogues the calico Mutumbo

Don’t get me wrong. He can spit but I’ve just don’t feel the same way about his music the way I do with guys like Mach, Roc, and DOOM. Also I wanna see Kendrick on some actual raw production rather than done radio s*** because I know for a fact he knows his s***.

I fully understand because I may bump Kenny a few times a year while I bump the rest everyday. But a top-tier lyricist doesn't have to be your favorite artist.
