Ka wins by default just because how cryptic Mach purposely writes his rhymes; very similar to Jay Electronica, Euclid, or billy woods. He mispronounces words, speaks Creole, really stretches metaphors, etc.
Ka spits haikus and epics while hitting you with double, triple, quadruple entendres album after album. Ka falls in the Earl, MF Doom category minus the personality.
Mach is a better artist but Ka has the better pen game.

He isn’t my fav artist (prefer Earl over him in terms of best in OF) but jesus is he f***ing talented. I’m not hearing this hate from those who never listened because of “gay” tendencies or whatever got y’all homophobia so shaken up. I think its 2 very different approaches and characters, both with top-tier writing ability. Ka is like Duke Ellington, crazy thorough and disciplined and fine-tunes every aspect of the construction of a verse. I wouldn't say dude is 'minus the personality' either. He's a wild unique individual who just wants even less of the spotlight than DOOM and Earl.
Mach is like John Coltrane. Both of their fundamental approaches come from the same place, East Coast 90's rap. Ka's thing seems to be to make the most ornate, unique structure he can within that box, where Mach tends to take it to a more unorthodox place. His flows are more like free jazz than Ka's steady drumming. I don't think he's always being intentionally cryptic, either, his frame of reference is just a way broader scope than Ka's, so his language, slang and imagery will always go over your head at some point.
That being said, Mach all f***in' day and yes I am biased.

Mach’s my favorite rapper but Ka is probably the best rapper, as far as communicating so plainly without making any sacrifices punchline-wise or anything. He makes some of the the most evolved music. People who don’t like him probably think The Wire is too boring.
