The albatross symbolizes bad luck. The magic beans might symbolize easy money that isn’t as easy or clean as it may appear? In Jack and the Bean Stalk, Jack is the “hero” but he basically just robs and kills a random giant; apparently you know nothing about the giant in the original story and all of the “making bread out of children’s bones” stuff came later on when people realized Jack’s actions were maybe too morally grey for children.

Which is a shame. “What is acceptable behavior when you and your family are starving?” is a way deeper, more important thing for kids (and adults) to think about than the David and Goliath rehash the story became.

if carti could kill that solange track like that i have faith he can do anythingRandom but related thought but l often think that if more mainstream artists like Carti/Thug/Future etc. rolled the dice once in a while and worked with dudes like Alchemist or Madlib or Knx etc. they could potentially get some pretty special s*** out of it. Like those dudes don’t get so rich and famous for nothing. They’ve definitely got some real talent and uniqueness and a different kind of insight on life.

I feel like there’s a 0% chance Meek hasn’t heard or seen at least one of those Knx flips. And I know he’s absolutely got to fw it. Makes me think that when artists get to that level the label situations really do dictate a lot of what they can/can’t do and who they can/can’t work with.
