The year wait, interlude, and Clout Dracula doesn't get better after each listen.

Bro I don't think anyone here is expecting Mach to drop 10's every project. MHL is cool but we know Mach is capable of much much better.

I like it a lot but it’s not HBO-level. Would have liked “Clout Dracula” more if either version had been the only version and had premiered on here instead of as a single.

I guess Kill Em All? I like most of the songs individually but it just doesn’t come together as well as his other projects. Some of the beats on The Spook also never really grabbed me.

Edit: Just re-listened to The Spook. “Tiddly Winks” is actually the only beat I don’t like. Kill Em All is my least favorite project.

The Spook feels like Mach just picked beats from Knxwledge's previous projects. There was probably no internal process involved like how Fete or Tuez came together.

No doubt Mach is capable of much better. MHL isn't really holding its own too well compared to the majority of underground stuff dropped this year imo.

Only really due to Clout Dracula and Photocopy Sloppy though (just cause we didn't get a verse). Neither of those really help an already brief album.

That said I fw all the beats on here a ton, and Mach's still got some dope verses (Squeaky Hinge 2nd verse especially for me).

But yeah, imo Mach's had a pretty average last couple of years.

I don't rate WKJ as highly as others it seems, similar length/interlude problems to MHL and I think Fahim and Droog were pretty trash on it, whereas I like them on MHL.

TLT is largely good but bogged down with too many guests.
KEA is a mixed bag and just ends up pretty mid.

Am enjoying listening to MHL more than anything from last year though. Finding more replayability to it.

knx said in an interview that he met mach at alchemist's studio in LA in 2017 and just gave him a flash drive. he did an AMA like 6 months ago where he said they probably won't work together again.

Spook hate
