He said producing is more than just making a beat. I absolutely agree it’s wrong to not credit people for the work they’ve contributed, but if he’s doing literally every other part of completing and releasing the song, f*** it, he can call himself the producer. It’s almost more of a semantic thing, and some “producers” probably do fall into the category of “beat maker” if they’re just emailing people beats and not actually doing any recording or engineering for anyone.
What makes you believe that "ever other part of completing and releasing the song" is such a difficult task to accomplish? Why does that mean he can suddenly call himself the producer? This is a complete leap of logic. Producers constantly get their beats stolen these days through email hacks. If someone were to record and release a track over a stolen Pierre Bourne beat does that mean they can suddenly call themselves "the producer", or should they be given any extra credit because they released the song themselves?
That's one of the issues here, Mach doesn't seem to value producers for what they are, which is the creator of the SOUND of a track. Mach writes his lyrics over the producer's beats, they don't produce the beat around Mach's lyrics. Secondly, it's such a disrespectful narrative to push of the "producers vs beatmakers". It's a battle of semantics that is immature and trivial, but if you're going to spin that, then how would Mach be closer to the producer than the "beatmaker" themselves in this scenario? Lastly, Mach doesn't do all the recording and engineering of his tracks, if you actually believe that then I don't know what to tell you.
A producer is a beatmaker. A beatmaker is a producer. I've yet to see a track that says "Beats by Mach Hommy", and I wonder why..

ooook ez ez m8
Mom lol
mach is "the sound" too and ik what ur trying to say but chill
also you dont know mach cant record or engineer to be frank, but that's besides the point, like i get that most people would see hiphop songs like a halfway split but i would give mach or any mcs music like a 60/40 at least, just look at flips and remixes and s***, the beats definitely not everything, not saying that ur saying that but ik this is an argument about credit and all that

and maybe that's too rash honestly, cuz you know its definitely the other way around on some songs w a hot beat too, but machs lyrics are often more special than the beat for a lot of different reasons
but ig the bottom line is it's always a collaboration and someone of machs mf ostensible esteem should always always acknowledge that and never even give ppl a chance to feel the way knx feels for example
special feature was left late didon
we already descended into dump weed carriers
theravada on the beat is cool tho
'dump weed carriers'
Who actually took down this song? Because this wouldn’t be the first time an associate of Mach and Droog did some stupid DMCA shoot in their behalf.

Still unknown. Very well could have been griselda/shady/Roc nation
Gunn has pulled some p**** s*** but this comes real close to that territory of behavior. Not as bad as telling the homie he’s gotta pay for your verse on HIS track, but sus nonetheless.
According to Knx he gave Mach a batch of beats one time when they met up at Alchemists studio before a show and Mach took those and ran, releasing them without notifying knx. This includes ‘Fresh Off The Boat’ and presumably all his contributions to the SPOOK and the GAT
hopefully lol, one of em did say wall street was gonna come out sometime this week, seems like that'd be kinda out of nowhere given how they hyped DUMP YOD up
Hm actually maybe there’s 2 projects Droog said both coming soon on IG. Maybe a project from both of them

I wonder if this had anything to do with his lines on MHL.
"I bet he go digital with the Spook! One for you. One, two for me"

i thought knx said spook beats werent jacked but i could be wrong
to me it sound like when the spook was made there was a bunch of old beats that werent used
mach ended using em for other s*** and was charging crazy on em and knx was like

Nah not me

I would be mad about this too tbf..
That's something I've always wondered about Tha God Fahim and Mach releases...I'd assume the producers are for sure getting a cut from them $600-800 vinyls and s*** but you never know sometimes.
