@cotton_dockers just stumbled upon the album from your avi honestly I'm not sure I like it but it's wild lol

Nice! Probably their weirdest album and they’re a pretty weird band as it is but I love them. Have you listened to any of the other albums? Their newest one, Thin Black Duke, is definitely their most accessible.

Blessings my G. Check those records, and his jawn with Apollo too. Peace.

Cool and what's he building with Jay exactly? I seen every rapper with buzz "build" with big artists. Where the f*** is Charles Hamilton? The features and the producers who Sky connects with and has done for 15+ years is real building.

Not gonna take this further gotta remember this is the Internet lol

When you wanna build I’m here for it man. Peace

Can i ask who is then? Back to the whole trust fund kid thing, idk who you met that just happened to be a mach fan but maybe 3 of the 20+ active posters ITT are white and we’re all choosing to support Mach’s music with our own money...

Mach isn’t skilled and is boring. So yeah. Do you though breh I ain’t mad. Just saying.

I’d also like to know exactly which mach projects you’ve listen to in full. Let’s talk about this brother, you’re allowed to think boring rappers are good. 90% of rap fans would call Ka boring.

Aight look to be real the thing that irks me is that I grew up in an era where I had to save my money to buy one tape and the culture was to swap and dub to hear a lot of the music out there. We ain't have much money. And I grown up and I got some more money but I still know where I'm from. And I love streaming to the extent that it removes the idea you got to have money to hear lots of music, even if it devalues it. But this whole $1,000 for an album I'm sorry I can't get with that. Who the f*** can spend that kind of bread on one damn 20 minute album? And this dude ain't like Nas. He ain't Kiss. He ain't even Sky. He's a netcee. It feels like a marketing gimmick, and although I'm down with the brother getting his I'm also not down with dirt being thrown on Sky's name when to me he respects where he came from. It's a piece of my mind, y'all ain't have to agree. And I know KA just dropped a record for $100 but I feel like he has paid his dues and it ain't like y'all have to pay that to hear it. I get it, Mach can charge what he wants all power to him, I just ain't got to respect it and I damn sure ain't going to be convinced he's anything other than mediocre at best and I don't see how any dudes who be in the struggle going to support this scam.

mach an underground rapper who makes lyrical s*** there’s a reason why he charges that much. benny said he ain’t even make a million yet and all his projects on streaming. with how streaming killed the revenue of artists it’s his way of making a lot of money and to make music a stable income. if lyrical s*** was popular like back in the 90s then he wouldn’t need to do this but rn trap the dominating force in hip hop. if you don’t wanna pay then you can just ask for a link from someone they’ll provide. the dude skilled enough that hov got heavily inspired by him on jay elec album

Yeah or tour and take your show to your fans. You know like a proper artist. Which is exactly why I jumped up in here. Skyzoo been in the battle game, he been in the mixtape game, the album game, the touring game. Mach was stuck as a nobody until 2016. Mach's created a gimmick which has a sell by date. Skyzoo has a pedigree which means he has durability and longevity.

I mean Mach's already said himself he's in this for the bread. Which is fine. I respect his honesty but when music is the game I can only extend that respect to a very short point. Skyzoo is dope but this isn't a Mach vs Skyzoo thing, Skyzoo represents the many hundreds of artists who been sweating blood, sweat and tears for a long time and are as strong today as they were back then. I guarantee you that Mach-Hommy will be a forgotten name in five years time and most will look back on this phase and realise that's all it was. A gimmick can't last forever.

that’s cos mach only dropped a few eps and one album before 2016. it’s kinda impressive he managed to get that much love and respect with one project. also touring is arduous and not every artist wanna live in the public eye some artists love guarding their privacy. he found a way to make money without having to sacrifice his own privacy. u cant blame him being able to utilise the internet

When the prices are THAT high, like 1k+, its a very exclusive release and probably a physical version. Most of his music was originally posted for much less than where it stands on his website because that’s the model, the more in-the-know you are the more likely you’ll cop a physical piece of very limited run and very good music. He doesn’t even expect people to buy s*** at that price, only those who are truly down and can afford to put that kinda money up. You can listen to every mach song that has ever been publicly released for free.99. That’s what i did, and i came to the conclusion that he’s my favorite rapper and i wanna support him how i feel i can so i’ve bought 4 of his projects on vinyl for relatively reasonable prices

So then he's a netcee to me, it means if he just records albums and that's that he can only get props to a certain point. I give the guy props for his marketing, it's worked well for him. As an artist though all this stuff about him being 'GOAT' and 'genius' is laughable.

Yeah but charging $1,000 for HBO and then throwing on soundcloud? Stealing a beat and charging fans without paying due to the dude who made the beat? Throwing out 20 minute albums and charging $3,000? Hiking up the price everytime someone buys the vinyl? Like I say clever marketing but this dude isn't even good.
