But... do you think we got these albums ourselves??? Never paid a dime on any digital besides Chinese Algebra which was $7 when it first dropped. I’m not overdrafting myself for music like that lol. If anything the limited access to the music made this community more close knitted and lately it seems as though Mach is ready to let his discog open up
The youth does always win, can’t argue with that b. The culture is pushed forward by the youth. But I do mess with plenty younger artists in the game. It’s just this little scene I really don’t f*** with and have a real gripe with.
why not just chop it up with some concepts or artists instead of being the thing you are so boldly against, an elitist.
Yeah look I’m not saying all those dudes are the same, the point I’m making is that in their respective lanes they’re just not good and they’re all riding this bandcamp pricing wave. Hit me with a link to their shows, not saying you’re wrong or nothing but let’s see what these performances are like.
And thing is older heads always have that reluctance about newer music, back in the day I chopped it up with pops and his peoples about Wu and Bone and they were some real music dudes and they would say even if they didn’t feel it they could respect it. And that s*** more than survived the test of time. I’m just saying these bandcamp dudes won’t because the music is limited and lazy.
i should just tell you to do your googles but f*** it:

all those guys are on streaming. they charge pretty standard prices for digital bandcamp releases ($10-$20) and less than ka for vinyl. they've toured, even outside the country. ill let the performances speak for themselves. you're really not wrong that there is some limited, lazy music being made by people riding this wave, but you haven't named one yet. you've named people who will definitely be remembered in 10 years, because of the depth and creativity and thoroughness of what they do.

Don't think Mavi is a good example as he has only one project

No you're not wrong at all
No you're not wrong at all
also weird, he definitely had at least 1 older project on bandcamp that he must have taken down.

Thanks for posting. I guess I can cut them a little slack because I don't know how long they been putting it down on stage but I sure hope they put some effort into improving. The Mavi one was the best by far, crime and Anklejohn looked pretty lame and disengaged for large parts but anyway I won't knock them, a live show is a hard craft to master.
Tell me some of the people who you think are riding the wave but are straight garbage? Doubt I heard of them but just curious.
You trying to hate on my work? We didn't all get born with a silver spoon my man. I had to drop out of school to get me some paper for my family, luckily I made positive choices and now I have a good job, a good family, a good house and good money. But I don't take that s*** for granted, I had to work hard for all of it. I don't hate on Mach for making his, check the history I've always given him credit for his hustle.
Im not tryna hate on your work I really dont care. Just dont be giving investment advice dawg its so corny like wtf is that. Youre mad about Mach's gimmick again which makes him all the money from the supposed "rich white kids" that listen to him. Thats a win on all fronts stop criticizing it just let him have his base then. Do you feel good convincing someone not to support mach? Like really does that get you off to know that youre hurting Mach? You come off as such a troll and hater to everyone here you have no point except "MY MUSIC TASTE IS BETTER, ANYONE WHO LISTENS TO MACH HAS BAD TASTE I AM HIP HOP". I didnt ask you about your life story either man I dont care this is a music thread but aight lets go off that. You got a family and you're here hating on people who enjoy music in your free time Smh. Man grow up how long does that take you? I don't believe anything you say by the way you act, you just want the smoke its sad
Genuinely curious on your opinion of these, @Bleezie
Big fan of Ka. I remember as a shorty my older brother would play me the NE freestyles he taped off the radio and I seen them at fat beats but this was when Ka wasn't with them like that anymore. Him and roc are both dope as hell. Mach's music feels like a bootleg version of this s*** tbh, maybe that's why I just can't get with it. If I want some mythical coded vibes I'll play Ka.

No problem. yea Mavi is worth checking out seriously, i think he has a really mature perspective for such a young guy. definitely prefer him to the other two. as far as people that are trash, chris crack definitely up there. sLUMs has a birthed a lot of knock offs doing a lazier version of the same thing, but nobody im familiar enough with to link. some of the formulaic coke rap guys like pounds give me ear fatigue.
Bruh I thought we were over this debate team s***
