For me it doesn’t reach the same heights as most of his other albums. Not a very cohesive album either imo. Soon Jah Due, Smoked Maldon, and Pour House are all fantastic Mach tracks, but 3/9 songs on a HIGHLY anticipated project just doesn’t really do it for me

Marshmallow test , SBTM, Squeaky Hinge and NJ ultra are all top tier too IMO , I really like NJ Ultra for some reason

I’ve probably said this a few times but “Marshmallow Test” and “NJ Ultra” are two of my favorite songs of his period. “NJ Ultra” is a little out there and sparse lyrically so I get how someone could take it or leave it but I honestly don’t get how people don’t love “Marshmallow Test”.

Idk Marshmellow Test doesn’t really hit for me. Chorus is cool and the verses are good, but the beat (although Craven killed it this year) is just kinda boring imo. Squeaky Hinge is a bit more interesting to me

Tbh going back over it today I was tripping a bit, pretty nice album. I think it’s more down to the fact people (well me anyway) was expecting his magnum opus, pretty sure that’s why I got disappointed, but glad I came back to it today
