While I do think yuckmouth here is putting a little extra sauce on it for YouTube, I think what maybe happens with these older dudes is the entire Internet tells them that Mach, Griselda, etc. sound JUST LIKE all of the 90’s stuff that they love and lived through, so they go into it with crazy expectations, waiting to be impressed, and when it turns out it’s merely 90’s-influenced and actually more than just a throwback thing and more experimental than 90’s rap, it instantly turns into hate and they’re cranky that people got their hopes up.
