It def feels like he wrote this with a wider audience in mind. I think the difference w PfH is that a lot of the songs on here are easily decipherable. Like we know what’s going on on a majority of the songs. The only super mYsTeRiOuS s*** is on Folie a Deux, Pen Rale, Ten Boxes, at least to me. Feel like that's where the criticism comes from.
Personally I don't mind Mach being more direct/less coded, because he's still an insane writer, and more eyes/ears are on him.
Also Droog ghostwrote the whole album
I get wanting Hommy Edition/Dumpmeister s*** every album but there’s still a lot to chew on here for a more accessible album.

I will say when I’m solo in the whip I’ll run Stellar Ray Theory, Marie, and Kriminel. Honestly Marie been in heavy rotation. I really like the way he was skating around on that

as soon as i heard that 26th letter i knew it was gon be a great album. the first half of the album is ridiculous and that’s where my fav songs are tbh marie and kriminel my top 3 off this album with 26th letter but i love the whole thing.

dump gawd hommy edition is my fav mach album and a top 5 rap project ever to me but tbh i still haven’t got a clue what he saying on like 25% of the album and i got 99% of the lyrics for it. tbh even now some of us are still catching bars from the project which says that tbh he didn’t dumb it down that much and the album was longer than usual so he couldn’t do all that wizardry s*** he does on dumpmeister/dghe

also mach doing all those cryptic verses back then was cool on an album that’s 20-30 minutes but on an album that’s 40 minutes he can’t exactly make it too mysterious
