How can you recommend The GAT as a first listen with its subpar and outdated beats, when HBO etc. is around.

There are maybe 2-3 ok beats on that album. HBO, P4H, Dumpmeister, DM1/2/3, Luh Hertz, Fete Des Morts, Dump Gawd, WKJ etc. all has better production imo.

Man the only beat i dont rock with is VI. Some of the beats could definitely be busier and or have some more variation but that's no different from FDM or The SPOOK, plus mach makes every beat he touches his own and i think thats especially true of the beats on there

Nope. Kind of a new strategy, since his stuff has usually either dropped with some kind of rollout (TLT, MHL, P4H) or by complete surprise (WKJ, CA, NDL, everything from 2017).

That’s what it’s always sounded like to me? No idea where he sampled it from. Never read too much into it, either, just seemed like a villainous, DOOM-ish thing to put there.

i found out about him when he dropped the earl produced ep. s*** was dope to me at first but i didnt wanna go out of my way to listen to it all the time.

But since the access is easier now for some stuff, i had time to marinate on his sound and i have to say hes pretty much in my top artists now. Non stop listening to him and found some of his other projects not on streaming. Its like dude cant drop anything close to bad. Even in 04 he was a f***in god. Its as if he mastered rap. Nigga like the minato of rap.

I understand why he charges up the ass for his stuff now. im getting his entire discog lol
