Machine learning will be the future of music/production/art so might as well start this thread.
love what BronzeAI has been doing and the exclusivity behind A.I making every bar of music literally evolve i can't wait to get involved and reach out to that company pertaining to my own music when it gets in the right stage.
Any programmers/Engineers ITT?
Yuh i currently do research in deep learning. Look into deepmind’s WaveNet for the future of audio. It creates an encoding of sounds that allows them to be mixed and manipulated in ways not previous done before. I doubt is has been used by any major producers yet since it’s only on github.

Yeah, I’m interested in this field specifically. I have ideas relating to implementing A.I./ML into various stages of the recording/creation process for faster efficiency but I’m not as technically savvy, in terms of skill set, as someone like yourself and it’s been difficult finding the aid locally of individuals with the knowledge and skill set to help me bring some of these ideas to fruition
doing unsupervised learning for my software engineering project :pog: idk s*** about machine learning tho lol but it'll be fun
actually f*** it, one of my more data sciency oriented homie thats doing the same project but on a different team was saying that unsupervised learning isn't really the best for our project.
we were given a pretty large data set of claims and policy data and we were told to draw correlations from the data and also create a predictive model. clustering would make sense right?
Bout to graduate on this data science grind
Good for you man! Probably close to highest demanded job right now. Great pay and such an interesting field.

This s*** is cool as hell too

It’s so stupid that we have to do leetcode/hacker rank type stuff to pass interviews
Any tips for portfolio projects ?
Nothing specific. I would find something that interests you. If you haven’t read this article, I strongly recommend it.

Every company is different, some will test the f*** out of you in multiple ways (Amazon / FB / agencies) and others will be less mature with A***ytics and probably just throw some basic tests at you. It’s best to be prepared for the most challenging though.

for data science jobs? do they really do ds&a interviews too lol

Oh idk. I’m a computer science MS student but not in data science. I just think it’s dumb because I know how to program and have several projects / years of work experience to show that. Feels a bit disrespectful to ask me to do algo problems on a blackboard like that. Plus it makes my anxiety go crazy

To answer your question tho ya I’m pretty sure a lot of jobs make you do at least a couple, but probably more focused on data science stuff. My buddy in the data science program is always grinding leetcode lol

yea its severely annoying. its the reason why i settled for the company where I interned at. no extra interview needed, the internship itself was a 12 week interview. I just don't have the time right now with school to come home and grind leetcode for hours everyday. I saw some people say they put 200-300 hours into it.... seems a bit ridiculous.
but I do plan on getting on that grind once I actually start working next year. not to the extreme extent I mentioned but maybe 1 or 2 questions a day. I want to start applying to FAANGs & other large tech companies once I secure my sign on bonus lol.

where are you getting your masters btw?

Yeah my plan is to try and get an internship at a FAANG this summer. Also make sure your company isn’t requiring you to work X amount of time because of the sign on bonus. And I go to cal poly

Tbh I hate it and love it as the same time, it's so many people coming out nowadays with a degree you want a impartial way to root people out
Besides studying algorithm can get pretty interesting and I guess it's really useful for the kind of projects that these big companies work on

They just require 1 full year of employment which seems fair. Otherwise I have to pay them back.
I wish I interned at like google or something. It’s an easy way in to get a full time job. And once you’re at a FAANG, you can pretty much go anywhere
