This is a good read
This is good insight for any of you who feel like they are not living for themselves, and believe it's not OK to be who they are.
I really recommend reading this, it changed my perspective.
Because of the memory fear created in childhood, Nice Guys still approach the world as if it is
dangerous and overpowering. To cope with these realities, Nice Guys typically hunker down and play it
safe.
As a consequence of playing it safe, Nice Guys experience a lot of needless suffering.
Suffering because they avoid new situations.
Suffering because they stay with the familiar.
Suffering because they procrastinate, avoid, and fail to finish what they start. Suffering because they
make a bad situation worse by doing more of what has never worked in the past.
Suffering because they expend so much energy trying to control the uncontrollable.
It's optimal for me to just take anxiety medication rather than have to deal with the side effects of antipsychotics when they dont really accomplish anything. If my doc doesn't agree with me I'm dropping him. It's been a year and only thing that's been helped is my anxiety
Stressed out lately and cant sleep
I hate this
My advice (but I don't always follow it lol) read a book before going to sleep, stay off screens for an hour
It's better if you get invested in the book because then you think about that instead of your problems
Another advice is try to breathe deep in bed and focus on your breathing, count to 1000 or tell yourself repeatedly "don't sleep" and eventually you'll fall asleep
been struggling a lot with my OCD lately. super sad and paranoid ab the shutdown and the future of my employment. i feel like i'll get canned any minute. i wish i wasn't even born bc i don't wanna see what the world is going to be like after this virus subsides. this microchipping thing is orwellian, and i just resent being alive.

I used to read children's books one after the other when s*** was really bad abs at the same time keep notes abs white down inspiring passages verbatim.
