tom's post fight interview is killing me. he's so uncharacteristically mad that it reminds me of when you're in school and the fun teacher gets upset and they have to use their serious voice

also the fact that gane's infinite title shot glitch still works

awful ending to what seemed like was gonna be a great fight but man it's led to some hilarious stuff

If i lost vision for over 5 minutes id be shook to fight. I’ve had eye pokes in sparring before but my vision usually comes back at least partially pretty fast. If that happens in a fight you’re continuing from an extremely compromised position. Not only does your eye hurt but they didn’t even take away a point so hes just fighting at a disadvantage and not having vision come back in that time is scary enough that your adrenaline pumps while the other guy gets to relax and get his wind back. I don’t blame him at all. The doctor asked him a question and he told the truth. He couldn’t see

It was the first round where both guys did some decent work. This idea that he quit is stupid. He was literally smiling and having fun right before he got poked. He was setting up decent traps and getting the timing down too

I’ve been seeing a lot of dudes say Gane was cooking him but Tom was doing a ton of good things and setting traps. Those rear kicks from open stance cut off Ganes exits and dips. He was going straight back on a few of them and Tom slowly got closer and closer to landing that right hand. He kicked the leg when Gane went ortho and when he switched back he faked the lead hook to step in for the cross. He was pretty close to getting it too. Gane undoubtedly won the round but it wasn’t an ass whooping or nothing to make a guy quit. The nose was an issue but it felt like Tom set better traps and would have had more control going forward. We don’t know what would have happened but winning the first means nothing in 5 rounders

I mean look, if you still can't open your eye after 20 mins, yeah that s*** would be scary. Yeah, the main event was a dud. Yeah, Cyril had round one, and looked way better than in the Jon fight where he was over extending himself just to piece up Jon but only exposed his back.

But it's not like Tom was out; he was just evenly matched. Gane was much more elusive, and Tom's looked like he wanted to target Cereal's legs in order to slow down the Frenchman. We won't know how that was gonna pan out. All we know is that Cereal was slept on as the bets indicated. The match being inconclusive is on him, whether he fingered Aspinall by mistake or not.

It wasn’t a problem the next day but yeah hurts like a b**** and in the moment I decided to sit out and just go home if I remember correctly

A friend swung a lanyard with keys on it at my face. I just cracked a bullwhip and kinda hit him. Keys hit my closed eye but I had a small black area in my peripheral for like 2 weeks. Thought it was gone forever.

Gane was performing as I expected. He’s quicker, more crafty, and more technical as a striker compared to guys like Blaydes and Sergei.

I wouldn’t have been shocked if Tom steamrolled him in the 1st round, but I just didn’t see that happening. In fact, we haven’t seen much of Tom’s cardio, meanwhile Gane has shown he can at least go 3-4 rounds and not be exhausted. The longer the fight goes, I feel like Ganes style fares much better than Tom’s.
