i see why tbh. his style is super tricky and could cause a ton of problems for people higher up the rankings but he's gonna be 39 in a few weeks. they don't wanna have him kill off younger talents higher up if he's not gonna be around for the long haul

but i think this fight will be a blessing for him. i think he finishes sam patterson within 2 rounds, that'll get some momentum behind him and he'll hopefully get a big fight
