i won't complain too much because it's nice to not have to deal with streams on numbered events anymore but paramount+ stretching the main card 4 hours is something to behold
Is the Dubois fight worth watching? I desperately need a palate cleanser
It was aight. Zuffa boxing tomorrow
A lot of decent MMA events this week though.
Yeah I do lol, he has looked truly elite against real competition exactly one time in his UFC career. I'm not counting DDP who took no damage despite looking like he didn't even want to be in there
The Khamzat glaze has been insane since forever. Dudes were saying for years “just wait till he gets the belt hes not giving it up for years”

That's why his fight journey is not that disappointing

Considering he was hyped up to be a GOAT level talent it definitely is

I mean cant blame em up until that Gilbert fight. In that Gilbert fight its where we saw the weak spots, heck he actually lost that

Bet 😔

That's what I'm saying, outside of the Whittaker fight he has objectively been an incredibly disappointing fighter relative to the hype
Even after the Burns fight the hype was still unreal

Ehhh the COVID layoff took away all that. Not saying there was much he could do about it but if he had continued to fight on that pace of 2020, collected more bodies and didn't catch COVID, he would've been in the conversation. As things stood, the consensus around him remained inconclusive
Even after the Burns fight the hype was still unreal
Most fight fans woke up after that but he still had rabid fans
Horiguchi got 2 more years to make it to champ status and that first ACL injury already stunted him hard
Most fight fans woke up after that but he still had rabid fans
Nah most mfers were still hyping him up until now cuz he pretty much wrestlefucked ddp
In what world is fighting 3 times in 3 months to start your UFC career, coming back from illness, beating Meerschaert, Li, Burns, Holland, Usman, Whittaker, & DDP to a 15-0 record, for the most part making it look easy & losing a close fight split decision to Sean Strickland a disappointment? I dont even like Chimaev but huh? Even typing that s*** seemed silly
Guy beat contenders, 3 champions, literally crushed one of the greatest MWs face in rd 1 & narrowly lost a 5th rd to a Split DEC loss to Sean Strickland. What are we doing here?
If you convinced yourself he was some God level fighter, that’s on you lol these post fight overreactions are always ridiculous.
Getting out of that parking lot is a nightmare
