i just copped an electric piano and im pretty serious about learning how to play/learning music theory.

damn guys i just started uploading my beats again and its so hard to gain a following, im even using instagram promotions just to try and get more people to see my stuff but the results can be so discouraging

Is it fine if my individual tracks are clipping (in the red) but I'm running a trim plugin on the master bus track / bus track to keep it around -6dbfs for mastering?

I mostly use VSTs/samples and I make sure not to record my vocals too hot.

Or is it better if trim each track individually?

where do you lot send beats once you've got them? I got a couple in the vault but can never find the right people or connections

i've started to build a network within my city so I have list of people I send my beats and its all local which is my current goal at the moment

where do you upload?

been posting my beats pretty consistently on youtube for the past 2 months and went from 3 subscribers to 20. no promoting on insta or any other socials, just posting beats every day. it's a small milestone but it shows that it IS possible to do this

congrats man, i’m trynna do the same. i post to youtube, beatstars, and put a short snippet on insta so i can start a bit of a portfolio on there

i also send some beats out to my friends who rap but they usually just sit on them and don’t actually release
