Oh. Any tips? How do I come up with my own style?
that just takes time and it comes down to just the style of music you make. But you can download drum kits for free at r/Drumkits or ask some of the guys in here to send you some kits to get started.

What’s the cheapest but quality interface, mic and studio speakers? I want to do more singing than rapping if that helps.

that is what i want to know too bro, i have everything else but bass lines, i know it’s better to have bass lines that follow the samples key notes

Im steadily working on them as well.
My biggest issue I think was just not spending enough time really dissecting the bass line in a song.
Or even knowing the bass line I wanted.
I listened to a zhu album recently and it helped me out a bit along the route of accomplishing the style im trying to.
That and I got a few good presets for serum.
In term of learning bass I've just been on and off playing with drum loops while playing the bass in a certain key.
But it's definitely a journey.

you asking how to make the bass sound or a bassline. cause for bound 2, rick rubin literally just kept it two notes i think
add distortion to get it to sound like that

Yeah basslines. Wtf music can be that simple? Rick Rubin composes?!
Yeah basslines. Wtf music can be that simple? Rick Rubin composes?!
yes, rick rubin composes. he has a whole history producing for some of the best artists.
And yeah music is really simple at times.
“ So we started by getting the sample to work in the song, and then taking out as much stuff as we could, and then in the chorus reducing what was this whole musical thing, just this sort of one ugly, distorted bass note.”

Also for basslines it generally depends. If I already have my chords laid out then I just make the bass follow the root note of chord with some minor note variations here and there to mix it up.
If I don’t have any chords and i start with a bass then I just play with my push 2, find a cool rhythm then modify the midi notes to see what I can add or remove
If you’re sampling a song then use your ear. You can do a low pass on the sample to just keep the bass and find the bass line like that
