It's like the beat is almost done before u put drums on it. The sounds tell u where to put the drums just to complete it but the vision is there with the sample

Like is there an optimal drum pattern for a given sample? I think the optimal pattern plays off the pattern that the sample gives in a creative way, but not so much that the rhythm of the sample is destroyed

I have keyboard that works as midi but was made to play stand alone so it lacks drum pads on it. How do I program drums with just the keys? Is it possible?

Do ya'll always add bass to your beats if you sample ? Sometimes the sample already has an underlying bass that suits the beat well, and adding my own bass on top of that seems like overkill.
