Just got a new pc, what are the essential plugins yall be using for vocal mixing?
Plugin choice is primarily personal choice but I say
Melodyne
Autotune (only very lightly used to clean up rough edges after using melodyne)
Fabfilter Pro Q
Waves vocal rider
Softgate (by airwindows)
Gullfoss (not really necessary but really good plugin and goes on anything)
These are the just basic tools but i say go wild on experimenting with other plugins to find a sound that you personally like
This sounds like a vibe

lots of things you can do with this mane. Start the beat off with him singing a certain lyric (Kanye style). Then for the drop, look towards the parts where he isn't singing any lyrics but just adlibbing for example @1:05-1:07 or @2:02-2:08 make random chops from the record that sound good and flow correctly, and then end the beat with a lyric/phrase.
