    used the new techniques i learned

    all the percussion is from one drum break loop.
    synth sounds are stock ableton plugins

    It depends. If you dont want reverb tails taking up those silent parts you need volume automation to completely cut the sound but if you want the tails then you can just leave it empty. This was the unmixed vision so i cut off the reverb so i could get the levels right but i have parts where i let the tails do its thing and i also have parts where I completely cut it. There’s different ways some people do it tho you can have a plugin (fruity balance if youre on fl) and throw it after the reverb or you can just print the reverb and cut it which is better tbh because sometimes plugins don’t always react immediately and just cut off and just slope a really fast fade
