K, put headphones on now I can hear it, I feel like it needs to be more busy (the bass part)
Yeah i stuck with the root notes
Another idea I have is just making Ariana grande pop trap s***. Was just listening to her album and its actually really good.
I need money so Id be down to work with pop artists and that sound
Bruh idek, this is even harder than the film industry to break into. Even that s*** has more of a clear path lmao, the music industry is a smaller and even more exclusive club.
The only way really is to move to LA, Atlanta, NYC, etc and network.
Tryna collab with people online rarely works out. Too flakey.
From experience networking is key. You have to be a great salesman, not necessarily the most talented.
So either you network or you get famous somehow so you have a platform lol. Like I was just thinking if my book takes off then thats my platform and i can be like oh guys i make music too listen to it here.
So yeah you either build your own audience that likes everything you do, or just network and provide a service
You always tell me to stay true to myself and i appreciate that
Tbh I wouldnt mind being a pop producer as long as the music sounds good to me.
I think what would make me happy is for my work in any creative field to be recognized by a couple thousand people. We all do this for some sort of validation ya know. The money is just so I can move out of this s***thole lol
Yeah i just wanna be a creative while making money from it. I cant be happy doing anything else
anyone else not sidechain their 808s? never have and don’t really think it’s necessary
Sidechaining is useful when layering but not inherently necessary when you can accomplish the same thin through volume automation

Half the time it doesn't make a discernable different and could just f*** up consistent volume levels. Sometimes I do sometimes I dont

fr i feel like it's mostly just finding the right kick/808 combo

plus there are better ways to do the sidechaining effect, then what I see most people use

i forgot which plugin does it but it lets you sidechain just a certain frequency range instead of ducking the whole thing. ik you can do it with ableton's multiband compressor
but ppl shouldnt rlly be side chaining 808s to begin with. thats just weird
clyp.it/dy1ahaqt super proud of this one. The synths
