Ayy u bought V7 try the overdrive presets on the Vox Continental closest thing you’ll get to a guitar sound
Pretend this post doesn’t exist
@baella here's some of my glitchier kinda weird s***
also the 2nd one isn't supposed to be a beat switch i just didn't feel like making a 3rd video
I'm fw the sample (not sure if it's a sample, but if you played that then coolio) on the second half of "i don't even have the new animal crossings"

the vocals and part of the melody is sampled but thank u
anyone got advice on how to make Chicago footwork drum patterns ? trying to make some but it's pretty difficult tbh
just make sure you leave room for all your sounds so none of them clash, but also get them loud enough to where they don't just get lost. for headphones def do some panning and s*** like that.
for me a lot of my mixes still sound kinda lackluster on phone speakers and s*** like that like i can never get the low end just right.
i never hear lowend on my phone on any track i play off it. Lile i can play a carti or a travis scott track and still only hear just a tad bit of it off the phone speakers
been meaning to buy a guitar and an amp but quarantine f***ed up the plans
i have a bass guitar but no cable to plug it in my dac
I regret not sticking to guitar every day. I woulda been a beast by now smh. guitars can fill up a mix so easily without really doing much
how many tracks do yall have in your mixes on average??
depends on the style tbh. i'd say maybe for my average trap stuff its like 7-12 for drums, and for melodies it just depends if there's bridges and s*** like that but probably usually around 5-7
some of the stuff i posted itt last night probably got above like 25-30 over all tracks though just bc how much percussion i used lmao

that many tracks for drums?
programming or u chop breaks? both?
and yea same, after the final mix i likely have about 30 tracks on average. i wanna know how some producers get sparse mixes to still sound full. like neptunes s*** be sounding like theres like 5 tracks sometimes yet they sound full in a way. same with dilla and alot of dance music producers.

programming. but i usually go super heavy w percussion and layering, peep some of my stuff on the last page lmao.
i wanna get more into chopping breaks but i just don't know where to find any and i don't wanna just use super known breaks.
i did use this tame impala break on a beat once though
