trying to set this up

i deployed it on google cloud platform but when i tried to test the connection it timed out. so my question is what does the google server need to communicate with kodi on my xbox? Is it just the public IP address + a port I specify on kodi? and if that's all, to turn on port forwarding, do i have to adjust something on the xbox or the router? i just got the router from my isp i dont even know how to change the settings lol
