Nobody is (or should be) arguing that you could put just anyone in those starting spots and things would be fine. We know thats not true. But that doesnt mean Jimmy and Goff are worthwhile QBs. Theyre bad starters.

I don’t think they’re “easily” replaceable because finding QB’s is hard to do when you have a good team that’s never gonna have a high 1st round pick or even a top 15 pick, the point is really just they’re not good starters

I disagree with this point though. I do think its easier than is portrayed but we never get to see it because teams dont dump QBs like Goff and Jimmy unfortunately

Like I think if the Rams or somebody like that committed to just going through QBs and never signing a big money extension to anyone besides bonafide above average guys they could relatively easily replicate what theyve had with Jimmy and Goff.

The NCAA is producing 3-4 starters a year, why would you waste 3 years experimenting with Garoppolo when you could go out and get one of those guys instead
