Think it's time we go back and grade those 2018 picks
Think it's time we go back and grade those 2018 picks
We only have 5 picks that year:
Round 2, No. 49 Overall: TE Dallas Goedert, South Dakota State.
Round 4, No. 125 Overall: CB Avonte Maddox, Pittsburgh.
Round 4, No. 130 Overall: DE Josh Sweat, Florida State.
Round 6, No. 206 Overall: G Matt Pryor, TCU.
Round 7, No. 233 Overall: OT Jordan Mailata.
Goedert a top 10 TE, Maddox is whatever as a slot CB, Sweat a quality rotational rusher who'd be a starter if his knee could hold up, Pryor is a decent backup and Mailata a starting OT as a 7th rounder. All-in-all a very good class.

You must be excited as hell for having 3 1âs next year lol

Three 1sts, 10 picks overall (so far). Along with this draft not doing anything egregiously dumb with the 9 picks we had either. Now it's on Hurts and the coaching staff. If the coaching staff slips they'll get another chance since the staff itself is young, just gotta show some promise. We have all the capital in the world to either replace Hurts if he's ass or build around him if he proves himself, with not much difficulty for either pathway. This next season is about as much house money from a fan perspective as I can remember honestly.
Masterclass of an offseason for Cleveland

These gotta be the worst out the bunch, everyone else got at least a quality player or a few pieces that still one the team

Itâs like when we had Rosen and 3 1âs, if the QB ainât it then you should have no problem moving on. But the assets youâd have to build around hurts is so good, youâd be able to turn things around very quickly. Idk how your cap situation is looking like next year but I canât imagine itâs terrible considering your QB is on a rookie contract

Yeah that Raiders one looks horrible, Arden Key and Mo Hurst already off the team with both going to San Fran just within the past few weeks
