I agree it kinda looked empty, and the fact they made it a desert probably is a consequence of that. Its a switch 1 game at its core after all. But the more enclosed areas still looked crazy, and if anything the "open world" made me very curious about how they're approaching this and why they wanted to add this to the formula in the first place (i also love the bike a lot). So much for this being a safe sequel.
I played the depths in Tears of the Kingdom switch 1 and still love the game to pieces, so if the game's amazing the desert looking ugly will only be a footnote criticism.
This trailer honestly was the best for me because it presented me something i wasnt expecting at all, im VERY excited for how they're approaching the existence of a big area in a metroidvania, and worried at the same time that it'll feel a superfluous addition that only adds downtime and filler.
But i have faith in the designers
