I don't know what's wrong with some of these review scores of MP4 ...
I'm very new to the series but anyone that has been a Nintendo fan for Decades know what the series is about and how they are supposed to feel, even without ever having played a Prime game...
MP4 is taking me back to the GameCube era in the best way possible and I'm loving it!
It's the first time in a decade that a game is making me lose track of time, last time that happened was Xenoblade Chronicles X on Wii U(I started at midnight and was supposed to play for 2 hours... it's currently 7 in the morning and I have work in 5 hours )
People are really nitpicking with this game and the whole NPC bs is not even relevant, I barely noticed Myles was there and before I knew it I was on to the next thing within minutes.

I think the long wait has played with expectations for sure, reviewers are people as well and as such they have their biases. Plus these niche series always have fans that arent necessarily kind to change, so even a slight deviation can cause huge turmoil. Now i don't know whether the attempted changes here are good, but at least the previews were too exaggerated in their complaints, especially considering the context

Should i buy dk bananza or metroid 4 as first game

yeah there’s a huge post-game, odyssey is probably a little longer, unless you count the dlc then DK is longer
