It's kinda like how cinema didn't reach its full potential for timelessness that still can impress to this day till the 60s. Yeah I'll always go back to Metropolis but it never had a chance of being 2001.
Ocarina is the G.O.A.T. when you take into context the time it was released but at this point is a masterpiece clearly of it's tkme. has potential to get spruced up into something that will still dazzle people half a century from now.

Yeah I feel like it worked well because it was simple and the switch 1 was so weak, so it fit, but moving forward they need to step it up and really blow our socks off with a unique style

I get what u mean but respectfully disagree i think plenty of movies from before the 60s are timeless and same goes for video games imo the classics are classics for a reason even with their flaws and "dated" elements

Most of the old gaming classics are impressive because they are of their time, a lot of them that ive played blew me away because of the time they were released in
When i played chrono trigger i was so impressed because its old and still feels incredibly modern even today , same with movies, music, anything really

Trust me, I stan countless movies from before the '60s but you can always tell which decade they came from which means they are not really timeless as far as production values go
That's fair, personally i dont think timelessness really matters all that much , time passes and its normal for things to be of their time , i find a lot of enjoyment from learning about the context things came out in and how they influenced what came after

That's fair, personally i dont think timelessness really matters all that much , time passes and its normal for things to be of their time , i find a lot of enjoyment from learning about the context things came out in and how they influenced what came after

All remakes feel somewhat the same because all people want from a remake are modern graphics and the standardized controls we have nowadays like l2, r2 for aiming and shooting.
