Prezjust my 2 cents: i dont think mario kart world will be mentioned. they shadowdropped the last big update which included the revelation of 8 more KO rallies. and we're probably another month away from the next KO rally dropping if you go off the regularity theyve been releasing updates.
i think for now it's status quo - new KO rally will drop every 3 months or so. paid DLC would be worthy of including in a Direct, but I don't think they're ready to reveal paid DLC yet.
True but last update was June 30 tho, we’re technically due for the next wave in mid-late September. The Direct could highlight it

I don't understand what they got to fit a 30 minutes Zelda exclusive direct. Zelda don't got as many spinoffs as Mario does, the movie segment i don't see it taking longer than 10 minutes, and the only Zelda announcement so far is ocarina, and even then if they show 10 minutes of ocarina like they did with starfox (star fox was a bit longer than that but that time was spent on showing people who the hell Fox McCloud is and his cameo on the Mario galaxy movie), there's still 10 whole minutes.
