As a big metroid fan, thank u to anyone that gave this franchise a chance with dread and is helping the series reach new heights so that we can get more titles without having to wait decades, and hope y'all become metroid fans too

It seems dread is a big success for the franchise, and director has said he already has ideas for metroid 6, so id be really surprised if we dont get 2d metroids anymore. Metroid is seemingly here to stay, and we're gonna get both 2d and 3d titles

I agree that nintendo shouldnt have shown it as soon as f***ing 2017, in retrospect i hate they announced bayo 3 and mp4 so early since it took a long ass time to get bayo 3 footage and we still have to see mp4. But Nintendo rebooting development by giving mp4 to retro and doing so publicly is the greatest decision they could've done and speaking personally made and still makes the wait more tolerable. Id rather wait years than get a disappointing metroid prime game

but switch install base is exactly what Samus deserves so I'm glad the game will release on a f***ing healthy ass console. I feel like the metroid releases have gotten shafted in one way or another.

Super metroid is on switch and its in my top 3 games of all time, you definitely should try it. If you want to experience the series in chronological order then you need to play zero mission -> samus returns -> super metroid -> fusion. There's also the prime series, which im sure will raise your hype for mp4 through the roof once you're done
