Super mario odyssey 2 at this point would be incredibly disappointing. With the secrecy this new 3D mario project has, being a sequel, as good as it could be, would be anticlimatic. I dont have a problem with botw2 because it was announced 2 years after botw, with odyssey its been 5. This also why i dont expect a sequel

There's obviously one in development, there always is, but we know nothing about it. Its downright impossible to get info on nintendo's biggest games

My guess would be a new 3d mario to be announced and released when the next switch is out, and it could possibly be cross-gen too

I’m pretty sure they started with making Odyssey 2 and then they had way too many ideas so it transformed into a whole new 3D mario game.

Another problem is probably that Nintendo loves to make big games nowadays. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are holding back these games until the new Switch (or console) is announced
