Bliss back at it again with his trash takes, nature is healing
It's overrated is all
not anymore. Zelda is higher than Pokémon in sales on switch
Pokémon as a franchise, including the anime, movies and trading cards and stuff is much bigger… but in terms of video games series it’s been pretty weak recently.
BOTW is only 2 million units more sold than SwSh while also being out for 2.5 years longer. I'd say Pokemon still wins that battle.
And on top of that, this was a pokemon game that a lot of people skipped.
How does Animal Crossing have 40m units sold though, that's the real tragedy.
Imagine playing Animal Crossing.
Don't worry Link's Awakening and OOT will always be classics.
Just like a lot of Nintendo series, it's an inconsistent franchise.

Tears of the Kingdom 2023
The problem with Nintendo is for almost all their franchises they have a dud that cancels out the classics. It's crazy to think that Pokemon has been overall consistent when most Nintendo franchises aren't.
That's like saying cuz Kanye dropped "Ye" his discography is wack. Man someone take this man's wifi away from him

It's all about how many good albums to bad albums there are. Kanye overall has a good track record. Zelda, to me, is more 50/50 in bad/good ratio.
It's the same reason Mario is not one of my favorite franchises despite Sunshine, Odyssey, and 64 being 3 of my favorite games of all time. There's so many bad Mario games as well.

Nah you really have some of the WOAT opinions. Block me

Most of the modern 2D Mario games are bad + Galaxy games require you to enjoy motion controls + your body to be okay constantly upside down. A lot of Nintendo "classics" sadly have unnecessary barriers to entry.

modern 2D Mario games and Galaxy 1+2
Skyward Sword, some 2D Zeldas + Zelda company being greedy sometimes

I was responding to your point about Pokémon being 10x more popular than Zelda, I’m not saying Pokémon isn’t selling great I’m only saying Zelda is just as big (the games, that is)
Pokémon coming next week already. Time flies. I haven’t been too impressed by what I’ve seen of Scarlet & Violet so far and I do think these Pokémon games release way too frequently for me to crave them but still I somehow end up copping and playing like half or 3/4 of the game and not touching it again.

I’m excited tbh, from what I’ve seen the trailers were mostly of early builds and the game actually looks and runs great now. I’m interested to see what playing with friends in multiplayer is like

animal crossing is amazing and it came out at the perfect time.

I think my main reasons for not being too excited about Scarlet & Violet yet is:
1. The Pokémon mainline games just release too frequently for me. I feel like there isn't much room for me to actually start craving another Pokémon game
2. The graphics and FPS look crusty to me
3. The battling and catching mechanics that I liked in Pokémon Legends: Arceus do not seem to be in this game
Now even with all these things I might still cop and end up enjoying it.

Oh yeah, the multiplayer. Forgot that part. That was probably what caught my attention the most. Hopefully it's actually legit and not some super limited type of multiplayer. I wanna run around with friends in real time and interact.
