I would say the exclusives, heavy hitters like odyssey, botw, etc. It can be any genre. Just looking for games to pickup, whats your top 5?
Aside from the obvious - BOTW, Odyssey, Mario Kart, Smash, etc.
Astral Chain
Pokemon Legends Arceus
Dragon Quest XI (not an exclusive, but the Switch version is the most complete one)
Fire Emblem Three Houses
Link's Awakening
Per digital foundry as expected, mid gen switch upgrade was canned indefinitely and replaced with oled switch. Next one will be new generation
On a play through of Metroid Prime 1, the atmosphere in this game is still good after like 20 something years
Walkin through when then you see parasite queen and this starts:

Mario Galaxy Is only included in super Mario 3d all stars, and Is not available on e-shop now for reasons. The only way to play it is buying a physical Copy of Mario 3d all stars. You should be able to find them despite having had a limited release, they printed tons of copies
They removed it from the eshop?? Can i still download it if i purchased it before they removed it

Metroid took so many elements from Alien they straight up named a villain "Ridley" after Ridley Scott

Definitely inspired, Nintendos music has always been so versatile and immersive it honestly deserves grammys for some of them

Definitely. That Metroid you posted actually reminds me more of this grim opus but more intense.

I think Bayonetta 3 is the worst Bayonetta game to date, there's just too much little things wrong with it that the first two didn't have.
Yeah story was bad and visuals were bad
Interested in playing a regular Pokémon game as I haven’t since Soul Silver. Should I buy Scarlett/Violet or Sword/Shield?
I heard that Scarlett/Violet runs terribly but it also has a lot of new s*** that is missing from Sword/Shield

I’m pretty sure the answer is yes
The Wii U e-shop is closing soon (in March I think). I've never played Wind Waker so I just bought the HD version for $20. little tune up before BOTW2

I felt like I might be wasting a bunch of money when I bought every Mario, Metroid and Zelda off the wii-u eshop back in the day
turns out it was the smart move

Classic
Enjoy
Anyone here familiar with switch modding?
pretty easy to do if you haven't done it.
have had a switch lite for some time and using it mostly as a hulu-youtube-crunchyroll machine, but feel guilty about not using it for games even though i don't really game anymore -- any recs that fit in with these reqs? i only need one game
mk8 deluxe is almost the perfect fit, but i have mk8 for wiiu so it feels stupid to buy the same game again when i can go play it rn lol. probably what i will end up buying if i do get something though my constraints rule out a lot
for reference i have smo, botw, astral chain and a handful of indie digital games

so you want a newer single player game that’s replayable, but not 3 of the best and (2/3) most replayable genres out rn?
the game you’re looking for doesn’t exist

my preferred genre is couch multiplayer but u cant do that on the switch lite and i like playing narrower types of games alone than with other people. i don't mind those genres in a group setting
the port thing is more of a moral thing less than the game being "new" i dont like the fact that they are often lazy moneygrabs emphasis on the lazy it rubs me the wrong way

I heard that Scarlett/Violet runs terribly but it also has a lot of new s*** that is missing from Sword/Shield
Legends Arceus is way better than both
But Violet is way better than Sword/Shield aside from performance issues.
Arceus is the best of the bunch in most aspects though
