I dont know where folks got this idea that Nintendo fans are sheep that always follow mommy Nintendo, when in actuality thats far from the case because Nintendo caters mostly to casuals who got no brand loyalty at all. If they dont treat 3rd parties well they get no games from them, if they price a thing too high It doesnt sell, if they ignore the hardcore fanbase they leave, if they're too far behind in power they lose customers. Theres an example for everything ive stated, and the numerous recorded failures should be enough proof. Yes its full of deranged, degenerate Nintendo obsessed fanboys, but that goes for all 3 major companies. The PS3 still sold 80something million units at the end of the day lol and xbox one sold more than Wii u

Maybe they havent done anything to warrant heavy pushback then? The only one that comes close to being anti consumer is joycon drift, with drifting being a problem for all 3 manfuacturers, joycons specifically because of their form factor. I do want from them a solution for this come next gen, because the technology is there, for all 3 (hall effect sensors). And even then, despite them not legally recognizing the issue which is s***ty but very corporate, they do offer free customer support and joycon replacement. Thats it. Full priced ports and remasters are hardly anti consumer, they're normal practicies, and if you dont like the work they did with the games you can always not buy them and play the games on original hardware/emulators (what i did with skyward sword for example). They're not doing false advertising or anything

Plenty of other complaints that we could go on and on about. They often take the same approach of instead of changing for the better they’ll just ignore it because certain IPs sells like hotcakes no matter what.

All of this is valid criticism against the company and definitely aspects that I would like for them to improve/change, but there's nothing they've done that pisses me off the point that I'd actively boycott them.

Most companies have some policies that are less beneficial to the consumer, but obviously the positives outweigh the negatives. I'm just here to play some Zelda and some Mario at a price that is affordable and that's what I'm getting. If they drop a game where the price is too high for my liking I will simply not buy that game.

I’ve never considered the price of games to be high. You get 20 hours plus out of most games. $70 for 20 hours verse a movie ticket is great to me. If it’s a single player game you’re going to be playing it for a couple months and if it’s Mario kart you get the whole switch lifetime to play it. Possibly 100 hours plus just for $70 is good value.
