do you think the oled will still hold up even after a potential Switch 2 (in terms of games still being released for it + online users)
i rlly dont wanna wait a year+ to get a switch but at the same time i dont wanna waste my money on something that everyone is gonna change out the next year
If you keep it in good condition you can flip it for a lot, they retain value well
I sold my v1 switch for $300 and paid basically $50 for the oled, you could probably do something similar with oled and switch 2
only caveat is you need to be an nso member so you can backup all your data before selling the oled, or you can just try to sell the oled after buying the switch 2 and just recoup later

If you're going to buy one now, get a special edition like the Zelda one since it's going to hold it's value better.
Also Switch Pro and Switch 2 rumors have been going on for years so I wouldn't worry too much about it

I bought one but not the Zelda one
Honestly i dont mind though i think even if a switch 2 does come out next year i would keep the switch oled for a while anyway
Or just sell it for anything i can get and put it towards the new one
Can you still buy download codes for Switch games? I'm wondering if TOTK will have one
Nice, I really hope this means all we’re getting is a much more powerful switch. imo they don’t need to change much except for that, ideally have an OLED screen, and try to address the joy con drift (and improve them in general)

Agreed... I think they should consider releasing 2 versions of whatever they'll call it (NS 2 or whatever it'll be) one been a regular one at $400 - $500 and then a Pro one at $600 or above so that it doesn't feel outdated already once it launches.
But anyway I hope it'll be a decent one at least!

Zelda Launch Event with Nintendo Treehouse Live announced

Yes
The funniest thing of 2023 to me is how this was hyped up to be the craziest gaming year with huge releases dropping. Literally all these big AAA games either came and went or had massive problems at launch. People threw shade at Nintendo yet Nintendo is having a great 2023 sticking to their regular program
what will NS2 launch with?
Switch launch games for comparison:
1-2-Switch
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Skylanders Imaginators
Just Dance 2017
Super Bomberman R
I Am Setsuna

I could see the next Mario being a launch title

someone was saying Mario kart but yeah I think a super Mario game is more likely. Or metroid.
