I feel that metroid prime 4 will be the first nintendo game to be played outside of a nintendo console

Would be pretty huge for them but I doubt it tbh. The Switch has been a saving grace for them to hold onto their fanbase. They need all the exclusives they can get.

Metroid would fit the bill for an XBox game but that’s exactly why they need it. They need to pull some of those gamers who aren’t interested in the bubbly cutesy s***. They need a few solid gritty games in their catalog like N64 and GameCube had.
