I’m not expecting a better deal from Sony in the next month or so cus right around Starfield’s launch, they discounted PS5 by $50 off, so I’m expecting them to repeat that offer (maybe bundled with a game this time), whereas I can get a 20%-off coupon from this retailer from time to time.

My bad famo... I mean I really don't hope it been $50 off was only for a certain period of time in 2023 but hopefully so will it happen again during the rest of 2023 or at least during early 2024 as well.

I mean if Sony really wants to reach their goal with selling as many PS5's as possible so will it have to be between $50 - $100 off before they do drop a PS5 Pro which should happen in 13 months aka Holiday 2024 aka November 2024.

Just to get back on topic, you never had a Switch before? Cus I read earlier that you might get the OLED model or wait till Switch 2

Nope never had a NS... But since a NS 2 is rumored to be out during the second half of 2024 and if it can play NS games as well so am I thinking about waiting and getting a NS 2. But if it doesn't play NS games so will I then have to think about if I should get a NS (OLED) first and after I've played all of the must own games then see how many good games the NS 2 has and decide by that time if it's worth getting one yet.

But I won't get an answer on that until probably during the Summer of 2024 so I'll during that time keep my eye on whenever the NS (OLED) goes on sale and make a long list of which NS exclusive games to get and then see how that NS 2 is like and which games it'll have during 2024-2025 etc.

I reckon you won’t have to wait until spring ‘24 (March more specifically according to rumours) for official NS2 news.
I’d be shocked if it isn’t backwards compatible, especially since Nintendo has always supported that feature (understandably Wii U -> Switch backwards compatibility would’ve been too complicated).

just the really bad connections people have and the amount of disconnections. better netcode and real servers are what this game needs.

also matchmaking takes forever in this game. i don't believe it's a lack of players. it never took splatoon 2 this long to load a game. i think it has something to do with the new lobby honestly.

otherwise i think splatoon has the most fun moment to moment gameplay that rewards skill. mario kart is fun and all but mario kart 8 is designed to make you lose.

i also think it's one of the best looking games on switch. so much physics are going on.

That would render my physical Switch collection obsolete if ever I decide to sell my OLED towards the successor.

I know some Switch users went full digital though, so this cheaper model would be for them.
