I’m good tbh
I also have yet to play Intergrade and there’s a digital bundle for that & Rebirth for the price of one game ($70), so I’m looking into copping a PS5 as soon as I can get a great deal on the console.
I mean you can always trade-in the PS5 you might get soon... So I won't say it's a bad idea to get one during October 2023 - February 2024
Great deal? Well it should be on sale right now... Or for sure during November 2023 - January 2024. So that depends on what's the price you want it to be
honestly just donkey kong
i wasn’t really that good and i kinda just played the story mostly
and yeah like when i first played botw years ago i hated it but this past year i gave it another chance and i like really enjoyed it for a week then i tried playing again and just had no motivation and jusr didnt enjoy it anymore
i just want a ocarina of time / majora mask remaster
Only Donkey Kong in a roster of 87 characters?!?
Aight I ain’t judging lol
I wish Squad Strike were playable online (the mode where you use a lineup of multiple fighters in a 1-on-1 match). That’s why I want them to just update Smash Ultimate for the next system.
As for Zelda, I’m gonna keep trying hoping it sticks eventually
You probably don’t have a 3DS; otherwise I’d recommend the OOT & MM 3D remakes. Now those, as someone who didn’t play the N64 versions, tickled my fancy
totk brazy finish the dragon tears questline

Bet
I don’t plan on giving up on TOTK so I think I may be playing it for a while (like on and off).

The best deal I’ve seen so far is 20% off, so imma jump on that once it’s available again.
I’m not expecting a decent official sale from Sony during Black Friday, which is probably going to be around ~10% off.

Well yeah if the whole 20 % off thing won't get repeated during Black Friday, Cyber Monday or Christmas this year or maybe the January sales in 2024 so would I say if it's 20 % off again so would it be a good idea to get a PS5 when it happens again... If not so will you then have to wait until the next sale in 2024

Your wording confuses me a bit ngl lmao
I’m not expecting a better deal from Sony in the next month or so cus right around Starfield’s launch, they discounted PS5 by $50 off, so I’m expecting them to repeat that offer (maybe bundled with a game this time), whereas I can get a 20%-off coupon from this retailer from time to time.

My bad famo... I mean I really don't hope it been $50 off was only for a certain period of time in 2023 but hopefully so will it happen again during the rest of 2023 or at least during early 2024 as well.
I mean if Sony really wants to reach their goal with selling as many PS5's as possible so will it have to be between $50 - $100 off before they do drop a PS5 Pro which should happen in 13 months aka Holiday 2024 aka November 2024.
But yeah it should either come with a free game if you're in the USA but might not be $50 off or maybe so is it both $50 off and comes with a free game... Either way good luck with this famo and I hope that you'll find a good deal soon!

Just to get back on topic, you never had a Switch before? Cus I read earlier that you might get the OLED model or wait till Switch 2

No probs famo
Nope never had a NS... But since a NS 2 is rumored to be out during the second half of 2024 and if it can play NS games as well so am I thinking about waiting and getting a NS 2. But if it doesn't play NS games so will I then have to think about if I should get a NS (OLED) first and after I've played all of the must own games then see how many good games the NS 2 has and decide by that time if it's worth getting one yet.
But I won't get an answer on that until probably during the Summer of 2024 so I'll during that time keep my eye on whenever the NS (OLED) goes on sale and make a long list of which NS exclusive games to get and then see how that NS 2 is like and which games it'll have during 2024-2025 etc.

I reckon you won’t have to wait until spring ‘24 (March more specifically according to rumours) for official NS2 news.
I’d be shocked if it isn’t backwards compatible, especially since Nintendo has always supported that feature (understandably Wii U -> Switch backwards compatibility would’ve been too complicated).

i lied i also liked using kirby in smash as well
and i had a 3ds but no idea what even happened to it but i’ve heard the ones they put out are great
I never see Splatoon getting any love on ktt
What’s the consensus here?
best nintendo game marred by bad online.
but seriously my most played game on switch and probably ever.

Same... effortlessly clocked the most hours playing Splatoon 3 and I bought it less than 2 months ago
What part of the online gameplay don't you like?

just the really bad connections people have and the amount of disconnections. better netcode and real servers are what this game needs.
also matchmaking takes forever in this game. i don't believe it's a lack of players. it never took splatoon 2 this long to load a game. i think it has something to do with the new lobby honestly.
otherwise i think splatoon has the most fun moment to moment gameplay that rewards skill. mario kart is fun and all but mario kart 8 is designed to make you lose.
i also think it's one of the best looking games on switch. so much physics are going on.

Could be bullshit, but man has proven to have at least some insider knowledge

This sounds right because it was going around at the switch 2 tech demo for matrix/botw that they would have a big announcement/reveal for Switch 2 in March
that would be exactly 6 months before September which fits their usual timeline
I’m assuming by 2 models they just mean a r/b model and a grey model or something equivalent.

Yeah late 2024 makes sense to have it ready in time for holidays. Hope it’s not gonna sell out cause this is a definite day 1 cop especially if the leaks about performance are true

Neat, but I want some official confirmation from Nintendo now.
just played the new mario at gamestop on the demo thing
it’s pretty cool
That means you’ll be keeping your Switch to play the full version right???

i’m honestly kinda considering it
yeah
that’s actually the other game i enjoyed
but past those two nothing has hit even botw and i love zelda
You’re just not a Nintendo fan. Which is fine. We all got different tastes

Digital-only model
That would render my physical Switch collection obsolete if ever I decide to sell my OLED towards the successor.
I know some Switch users went full digital though, so this cheaper model would be for them.
Imagine if the higher-end Switch 2 model came with an OLED screen and retailed for $50 more ($500 instead of $450)
