Must have an extremely thoroughly vetted meritocracy. Knowing how competitive the workforce is in Japan, I can't even imagine how hard it is to get a job there.

Japanese people are just built different, so many GOAT artists, musicians, game designers, filmmakers, animators, etc.

Also as a country they just have so much more history and culture than most, especially the U.S. which is basically a baby in comparison

The US is doing astoundingly well for how young the country is. From Chaplin to Elvis to MJ to the MCU they have pretty well dominated every other country over the last century (I'm not American so unbiased opinion)

Yes I think because of the “melting pot” of different peoples in the U.S., it’s led to rapid development of culture and art

I'd like to see a timeline of the instances where other countries art fully crosses over into western culture. Can't think of alot and some are stretches; Nintendo, anime, k-pop, spaghetti westerns, reggae..

Agreed with Japan being so artistically advanced in many art forms, but if we talkin’ music in general, the UK is pretty much unstoppable, past and present
The US is runner-up, especially since the UK is much smaller.

On a side note, thanks to YouTube I get to watch lots of touristic videos located in Japan, and yeah it’s a dream travel destination

If Switch 2 can adequately run AAA 3rd-party games then it might be over for PlayStation in the west (don’t have to mention the east cus obviously Nintendo has Japan by the balls).
Imagine a system that can play both GTA VI and Mario Kart 9

All these rumors seem to be pointing to Switch 2 being able to had at least passable current gen games

I played 5 hours last night and only got to W2 (fluff-puff peaks)
