It's not greed when they put as much effort into it as they do and actually pay their employees well fam. They earned that.
And it's not a cakewalk. I can't deny there are indeed a lot of easy to acquire Moons around but the deeper into the game you get the harder, as usual. And by the post Bowser content the levels are insanely difficult and there is alot of it. Just get it promise you won't regret.
Nintendo of Canada’s greed then cus Wii U probably flopped hard in Canada.
Odyssey and BOTW were $30 USD each at Target during an official Black Friday sale by Nintendo back in 2019. We had to pay $60 CAD still at the time.
And Nintendo used to do discount lines for their games.. even post-Switch release.
Plus I’m pretty sure Nintendo devs don’t get paid bonuses depending on a game’s success short- and long-terms (just a regular salary, and even Miyamoto gets the same treatment).

I'm in Canada too fam it is what it is. And tbh would have payed 200 dollars for Odyssey knowing how good it is (only Switch game I could say that for) and how much content I got out of it. Took the gf and I a full year to 100 percent it and we had a fkn blast.

For some reason people think “this Nintendo game has been out for 5 years, they should just give it to us for free” and when they don’t, they call them greedy. Nintendo doesn’t owe us anything. They consistently give us the absolute upper echelon of games with little to no bugs year in and year out. Their first party titles have more replayability than anything on any other console. They can charge anything they want.

I finally got Zelda and Mario tattoos in 2016 and low-key worried I jinxed my favourite franchises and they were gonna start sucking

One year later, Nintendo dropped BOTW and Odyssey: their most commercially successful and critically acclaimed 3D games of their respective franchises. You blessed us fr

I dont know how it is in the states, probably not different, but ive been buying some Nintendo games used for like 30/35€ and that seems like a good deal to me. I guess if youre digital only or are only willing to pay 20$/€ max for 5 year old games it might not be good enough, but there are options. Recently i only been paying full price for games i buy on day 1

All I’m asking is for Nintendo to shave off $5 (CAD) more from the usual sales price (which is $25, and I want $30 instead) for older games and that would be reasonable enough to me.
That guy (whom you quoted) distorting my stance by saying that I basically want the games for free cus they’re too old is trying to make me look bad, and just shows he’s arguing in bad faith.
And the US usually gets way better deals than Canada when it comes to Nintendo 1st-party games.
However recently there’ve been non-Nintendo-wide sales on Nintendo games with great prices here in Canada.
For example:
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl - $30 off
Bayonetta 3 - $50 off
^That is more of what I want as a frequent consumer of entertainment. I don’t see how that reeks of entitlement like that one guy said.. My choice my money, and I’m tryna be reasonable still (I’m fine with at least $30 off instead of wanting $50 off or more).
Bro 😭😭😭
https://twitter.com/genki_jpn/status/1718081422635000292Is Superstars even a decent game?
S*** always looked mediocre.
And look at the developer that worked on it: Arzest.
The ones that brought you:
-Yoshi’s New Island
-Hey! Pikmin
-Balan Wonderworld
With a pedigree like that, it doesn’t instill much confidence in their ability to deliver a quality game now does it?
And I believe by now the general population knows that you should gravitate towards Mario over Sonic if you want an excellent platformer.

The amount of tire kicking you're doing instead of just playing arguably the best game ever
put in an extra hour at work for chrissake

Send me 5 bucks and I’ll use it to buy the game the next time it goes on sale

It’s good
Bosses are the one thing I really disliked, they take too long and there’s a steep difficulty spike near the end. The music is also mid which is rare for Sonic. The second campaign gets really difficult and the Super Sonic final boss is annoying.
Not worth $60 but for Arzest’s part they did a solid job. It plays like how classic Sonic should.

Oh my apologies, i wasnt following the discussion. I just saw the first post on the topic and wanted to weigh in with an option to get Nintendo games for a lower price i think some people forget exists. But your points are fair and valid of course!
