What are they cooking
Makes sense actually, this is the final year of switch so it’s gonna be heavier on partner releases, and much lighter on first party releases as they’re saving those for switch 2 launch window
What are they cooking
I doubt it means anything.
‘Nintendo Direct mini: Partner Showcase’ was such a mouthful so they’re probably just keeping it more simple.
Nintendo doesn’t own Intelligent Systems, which makes them technically a PARTNER

TTYD release date and new Fire Emblem remake at this Partner Showcase POSSIBLY???
I have extremely low expectations because I don't know what to expect at all, could be obscure third party games no one has ever heard of.

Agreed, this partner showcase 100% makes sense
We getting small 1st party releases and 3rd party game to fill out the year
And I ain’t mad at it. The backlog is big so if we get a quiet final year, that’s fine

I could have sworn Nintendo did own them but I just googled and I was thinking of Next Level Games (they did Luigi’s Mansion 3)
It’s certainly a possibility Intelligent Systems can show up but TTYD & FE don’t feel like partner showcase material to me. They’re too big of games / IP IMO

But Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes was featured at the last Partner Showcase
But nah, I don’t actually expect Intelligent Systems games to show up at this Direct lol
Possible Partner Showcase games:
-Hi-Fi Rush
-Pentiment
-Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance
-Pand Land (new Game Freak project)
-Dragon Quest X Offline (lol)
-Dragon Quest III HD-2D remake (loool)

I remember when Switch 1 was originally planned to launch in Q4 2016 and the previous Nintendo president, Tatsumi Kimishima, pointed out that the system’s launch was delayed cus they wanted a steady flow of software ready for it, most likely to avoid the Wii U-esque software droughts that plagued that platform.
We may be seeing history repeat itself with Switch 2. So basically Year 1 of Switch 2 could be exceptional 1st party-wise
