The reveal was originally set for March (this month), but since Switch 2’s launch has been internally delayed to March 2025, they decided to delay the reveal as well

Hopefully Switch 1 owners will be eating with new games for the 2nd half of 2024 cus the wait for Switch 2 might be unbearable

Since this thing should be able to play NS games too so will those who never got a NS have a lot of games to play including upcoming games coming in 2025 etc.

I hope Nintendo will go back to old Switch games and update the visuals & performance for Switch 2. They can use these updates to fill in software gaps between major releases.
And the upgrades better be free

I hope so... But knowing Nintendo so won't I be surprised if they do remaster/remake them and then sell them to us again

But I think Nintendo will find a way to still release some good stuff until the new stuff whether it's sequels or new IP's is ready

Wii is definitely retro.
When Nintendo announced Virtual Console for Wii, N64 was already considered retro at the time.

Something else I’ve never seen brought up: is Switch regarded as next-gen relative to Wii U? Switch is the successor to both 3DS and Wii U, and coming off of 3DS, Switch definitely feels next-gen because of the horsepower difference. But as for Wii U, Switch is only slightly more powerful.
