Nintendo always prioritizes price and battery life with their handhelds, ever since the gameboy, so these 2 will always impact performance and whatnot. I thought we were ready for a more powerful switch since even some 1st party games are starting to struggle running on the current one but i guess Nintendo had different plans😔

Smt v looks great so its not an issue to me. Games like hyrule warriors and xenoblade are the ones most suffering from this switch, since they dont get close to native resolution and the fps dip too low at times. Smt from what i saw ran pretty well for a switch game

We won’t get Switch 2 until 2024/25. the Switch is in its 5th year, selling even better than in the pandemic year. The longevity of that device is unprecedented, you really think Nintendo is gonna cut the legs by releasing the successor as soon as next year?

i get what you saying but the only reason the avg consumer has a 4K TV is bc they almost only sell them now

even with physical media (aka generally the most hardcore of collectors and image quality watchers) not many people want to buy 4K discs

Netflix 4K is ~25mbps but actual 4K discs are ~100mbps. Thats 1/4 the quality of actual 4K and is actually around 1080p. Nobody is even watching actual 4K content besides collectors and the 4K content avg consumers are watching isnt even 4K

I just dont think anyone wins if you move to 8K

OLED draws less power meaning it will naturally use less power even if the screen is a bigger

i just want it to look the best as it can, but it is on a nintendo platform, so that's on me for expecting more. as for xenoblade de, it was a bit rough, but didn't think it was the end of the world, but agreed, it definitely suffered and deserves more.
