Reading the stats for all the different franchises is insane
A large chunk of a lot of franchises have sold the most on Switch
It’s pretty crazy to comprehend how we’re living in Nintendo’s commercial peak. Growing up, it was the Wii. It’s the Switch. But it’s also critically. Some of Nintendo’s most loved (by critics and fans) games are on Switch
It’s funny how in doubt so many were when the Switch first came out
Hindsight is 20/20 I guess

Tbh as soon as I saw the first trailer, I was so in awe of a dock-able portable console, that I immediately knew it was going to be a classic.
Copped it day one, and even tho I still put the GC (mostly cause of nostalgia) as my no.1 fav Nintendo console, I recognize that the Switch is one of the greatest consoles ever tbh.
Just the sheer amount of classic 1st party games plus the classic design and the novelty of it, puts it in GOAT console tier.
Nintendo dropped their Six Months Earnings Release and not a single piece of Switch 2 news
I'm glad I abandoned the 2024 ship and let go after that Xenoblade announcement. We ain't seeing a darn thing this year and at this point I honestly don't even care.
Switch is 14+ million away from the PS2. I don’t see Switch catching up unless Nintendo does aggressive price cuts
https://twitter.com/pierre485_/status/1853690612970668060It's so over
Nintendo did tell us they would make some kind of announcement before April 2025 to be fair
We just assume it would make sense to give us a preview trailer of Switch 2 in the fall and a FULL REVEAL early 2025… but we’re all tryna make sense of a company like Nintendo that follows their own rules
2025 is 100% when we will see whatever the Switch 2 is
ngl i wish it wasn’t for shambles
Wait but can we put Switch cartridges in our Switch 2’s like we can with DS cartridges in 3DS handhelds?
I mean I think backwards compatibility was obviously gonna happen but the question was still only half answered
we knew it but it’s good to have solid confirmation of backwards compatibility

Most likely

@Chilla oh we’re so back
I wonder what this means for piracy. No way they don't increase security after what happened with the Switch

Nice to have some official confirmation on backwards compatibility, even though that was pretty much a given.
So all the online games will still be playable on the new system without issue it seems. Regardless of the potential sequels.
So physical cartridges will work

So physical cartridges will work

Only idiots would doubt this. Why would nintendo exclude physical BC when most of their software sold is physical

Oh I agree
I was 99% sure that both digital and physical Switch games would work on Switch 2. All the credible leaks said it would be backwards compatible.
This is just confirming what we already know lol
For non-Xenoblade fans this is just Alarmo all over again
More Xenoblade on Switch 2 so soon
Yall ready for that $600 launch price after trump tariffs?
