I’ve always wanted to play this
How similar is the combat to Xenoblade chronicles 1? I didn’t like that at all
All xenoblades are similar in combat system, they make improvements from one title to the other, but yeah. If thats why you didnt like xeno 1's combat, you wont find it different in any others
Considering all these crazy ass leaks and Nintendo has STILL been silent, Krysta is right. They’ll announce it when they’re ready
I have checked Kit & Krysta's podcast every now and then during the wait for Switch 2 and I remember when everybody was expecting a reveal on a specific week/day in October. They went against the general populations expectations and shot that rumour down, and they turned out to be correct. Instead we got that Xenoblade X announcement.
Now, fast forward to this week. This current week in January was also a week when many expected it to be announced, but once again, in their previous podcast last week they pretty confidently shot that down as well saying that there's too much going on this week with CES 2025 and so on. Once again, they were correct. Instead, we got another Xenoblade trailer.
And now, in the beginning of their new episode that just dropped today, they are saying that, based on their experience working at Nintendo (within PR/Marketing), next week would be a great opening for this to finally go down. Now we don't know whether all of these have just been their educated guesses based on their experience working at Nintendo or if they also have some inside connections that have hinted at next week, but their new podcast episode at least gives me some assurance that next week has a much higher likelihood of being the week, so I'm now placing my bets on next week.

i hate that i’m getting excited for this even though i barely play my switch even when i first got it
Literally same
That’s gonna be the logo? Unbelievable 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

you got too much free time if you care that much about numbers being used in hardware titling/branding

leave the lazy number branding to ps and xbox
come up with something cool like f***ing Gamecube. makes each generation feel more distinct.
like who can remember the transition between Wii and Wii U
alot of people still dont realize the difference

If it was called Wii 2 that quite literally would’ve solved a huge chunk of the confusion, which is that Wii U seemed like an accessory for the Wii

I initially wanted it to be called Super Nintendo Switch, but I understand how Switch 2 may be the better option in terms of branding. If this console was going to be a deviation from the Switch concept then it'd probably get another unique name, but since it's going to be an iteration/successor to the current Switch it makes sense to call it a Switch 2.
If they called it Super Nintendo Switch for example, while also having a regular Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite and a Nintendo Switch OLED, it can become a bit confusing. Switch 2 immediately clears the confusion by putting a 2 in the title, meaning this is the second iteration/generation Switch.

Acting like I wrote out a manifesto when I just called it boring

Yeah I understand if it ends up being essentially the same system but I just miss how distinct and unique the flavor of each generation was back in the day

Yup, I agree. We'll see if they stick with the Switch concept/brand with their future consoles or if they "switch" to a whole new thing with a new name at some point.

You would write a manifesto
nah I was just playing with you
We getting closer to pics of an actual Switch 2 lmao
Nintendo Ninjas boutta take whoever did this out
I hope they really are doing the color accents on the inside of the joysticks and the connection points to the Switch body. Way more subtle and tasteful than the entire controller body, kinda reminds me of the orange accents on the Steam Deck OLED Limited Edition

Yeah, those colour accents around the Joysticks looked slick in the mockup/3D print. I wonder if there'll be more colours/variants than the Blue & Orange at launch.

Blue and orange is my all-time favorite color combo so I'm content with that one.. What would be your top choice?

The blue and orange looks fire as it is so I'd be cool with that, but if I could pick another colour combination it would probably be something like neon blue and neon purple. I like shades of blue and purple.
