I kinda love this Nintendo Today! app man. Hoping the Switch 2 has more community features.
Hope Switch 2 has real voice chat so I can call little kids trash at splatoon
Ouf, I forgot about Splatoon for a second. I wonder how soon we'll get a new Splatoon game on Switch 2. It feels like Splatoon 3 came out recently but that was almost three years ago now so they could potentially tease a lil' something.

Yea. If not this year definitely next imo. Japan is Splatoon Land and it is one of their most profitable franchises.
I just hope to god Nintendos online services are better for their games. That's the first step.

Feel like splatoon is the perfect game to show off that mouse functionality so hopefully we’ll see it next week

Agreed. They for sure gotta clean up their online service so you can play matches without them random disconnects that (for the record) only been an issue on my Switch and not on Xbox or PS5 when I play online.

Most of the devs working on splatoon also work on animal crossing, so i have a feeling we'll see animal crossing first, then splatoon a few years later

That's a possibility as well. In less than 5 days, we'll hopefully get some info on which comes first

We gotta get a new Mario announcement at the Switch 2 direct for the end of this year, right?
It’s been 8 YEARS since Odyssesy.

We should for sure expect a single-player 3D Mario or 3D Zelda this year (but more likely a Mario game since we already had BotW + TotK), or perhaps both if we're lucky.

Ain’t no way they have a 3D Zelda ready, that’s still probably a good 3+ years away.
What's y'all top 5 1st party and top 5 3rd party games on switch 1 you'd like to see a patch for on switch 2 the most? I'll go first:
1. Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
2. Xeno X
3. Xeno 2
4. Xeno 3
5. Astral Chain
1. Dark souls remastered*
2. Persona 5 Royal
3. Monster Hunter Rise
4. Doom Eternal
5. Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance
*Im kinda conflicted with this one cause im afraid if It happens they'll just change it completely to look like the other versions of DSR. The switch version is the most faithful to the original art direction (the bonfires being the prime example), so i'd be good with just a 60fps patch. Hell, as much as it hurts to say, keep the trash audio quality, just dont ruin the art style

That s*** coming 2029 if we're lucky tbh

They probably do. Ocarina of Time remake from the ground up is most likely the 3D Zelda for this year/2026

Perhaps not a completely new game but they could announce a remake of an older Zelda game. They tend to release a Zelda game every year - whether that's a 2.5 top-down game, a spinoff, a remake or a new major 3D title.

Man don't get my hopes up like this
