It happened during GC days. Prizes went down almost by 40 % because people weren't buying
Bro talking bout a quarter of a century ago

Nintendo Switch 2 Will Have Paid Upgrades For Switch 1 Games
https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/metroid-prime-4-zelda-and-pokemon-are-getting-enhanced-switch-2-editions/ outside of the ludicrous pricing, this is just ridiculous
f*** s***endo
This was expected imo, Sony already had it, and while its free on xbox, its still xbox. This imo wasnt even bad, i was willing and prepared to hand out 10-15€ for upgrades

Good, keep achievements away! This is a good compromise
GTA costing $100 for sure now.
Thanks Nintendo
Irregardless $90 physical is already $100 after tax
Every physical game is $100

NOOOO
People are already said they’re paying 100$ when it comes to it.
I will be.
If enough people are paying the sticker price, then the argument is that the game is worth $100, no?
If it’s $100, let’s talk once they drop sales figures.
Just because you buy something overpriced does not mean it is worth said price
Arguably GTA 6 will be.
I agree with you btw, but the argument could be made.
ya if it had no microtransactions

Honestly only game I'd pay for upgrading is Tears of the Kingdom. 4K HDR and 120fps along with downloading/sharing Zonai creations are features that would make replaying it worth to me. All the added app stuff actually sounds pretty cool too.

In terms of value, his thinking is correct. Customers decide the value of something. But i still can't support it, cost of life is too high for 100$ games. They're a huge source of entertainment, especially gta and mario kart, and you can argue the price per hours/content is fair, but such a rapid increase in retail price screams greed.

Totk and botw upgrades are free for nso members so at least those are in a way "free"
Disabled rocket league would've been cool if It had character, but its so soulless. Arms died for this...
Lets goooo

Adding achievements to TotK is kinda pointless to me because the "achievement" when you complete difficult tasks are usually weapon/gear upgrades, if not, new weapons/gear in general.
Ion know man, I grew up in an era when your achievement for accomplishing hard s*** in games was...a gold star on your save file lol I just don't really need a lil text box that pops up saying "You did it!" I'd much rather prefer that sense of satisfaction in completing something, or an in-game item or costume, something like that.

Sony only wants $10 IF they release an updated version w/ new content, otherwise it's free. These won't have any updates.

But its the same here.

Some like the ones listed here will have free updates, others with added content will have upgrade plans (like the ps director's cuts or the recent Horizon zero dawn remaster)
Im well off and even i know better than to fall for this scam.
You have no choice but to submit
Lets goooo

I didn't think there would ever be a worse unveil than the original Xbox One, Nintendo made that look like child's play today.
