Bro I dont give a f*** about Mario Kart number 5000 when Nintendo is charging $450 for an LCD screen in 2025. Are you dense?
Common Steam Deck W…
yes.
if u missed the whole switch generation then this is a no brainer to get this console IMO. depends if u like Nintendo games obviously but if u like Nintendo and have money to spend on gaming then this seems like a good time to jump on.
Always been a nintendo boy
Last console i owned was a 3DS (super goated console)
Now its the first time a console releases when im an adult and with a job
Vz mario kart world soon
To my own surprise I was more impressed by the Switch 2's hardware capabilities than its software in this Direct. The (now officially confirmed) support for 4K resolution with 60 fps or 1080p resolution with up to 120 fps + HDR made the Switch 2 feel up to date for a Nintendo console.
The new/returning features (GameChat, GameShare, built in microphone with noise cancellation etc) were also nice little quality of life additions.
The presentation did however lack first party Switch 2 exclusives, which at the end of the day is the most important thing about a Nintendo console in my opinion, and the few Switch 2 exclusives (basically Mario Kart and DK) that were shown didn't really look that visually different from a Switch 1 game besides perhaps the higher resolutions.
Hopefully we'll get to see some more first party Switch 2 games in the next few months. The true test will be their next single player 3D Zelda and 3D Mario.
Gaming turning slowly but surely into a luxury
Eggs are a luxury right now buddy
When I get kids they really not getting s*** 😭
Cause when I was 12, I could save up enough allowance and trade in my DS for a DSI, and only have to put like $50 down.

Do we know if a Switch 2 Upgrade is necessary to play a Switch 1 game or can you play it without the HDR/framerate jumps?
Gotta be an offline mode or sum
Idk why they would market it as a multiplayer game if it had offline

It might have just been my parents I guess but they were constantly yelling at me how video games are luxury products and I feel like ive just always viewed them like that

Nightreign supposedly will

yeah but i dont wanna
nah switch 2 is just a newer console, that’s why it’s more powerful. Not because it’s more expensive. It’ll be $400 for sure
“It’ll be $400 for sure”
Yeah they advertised neightreign as co-op in the reveal trailer and then later in a press release stated it can be played singleplayer
“It’ll be $400 for sure”
Well you said it’s gonna be $500 so we were both wrong
